AFSE Class of 2016 - Voice, Visibility, Value

AFSE's inaugural graduating Class of 2016 demonstrated what it looks like to "be seen, be heard, and feel relevant." Check out what they accomplished:

  • College Enrollments: Cornell University, Kean University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Fordham University, SUNY Buffalo, Stonybrook University, Baruch College, College of Staten Island, CUNY Hunter  
On June 27th, 2016 at NYU's Skirball Center the inaugural class of AFSE graduated. Among those in attendance were guest speakers Fred Wilson, Deputy Chancellor Phil Weinberg, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer, and renowned audio engineer and music producer Young Guru. No matter what their next step is in life we wish the Class of 2016 much success and thank them for their contributions to AFSE.

 White House Science Fair 2015 
 
Esi McAllen '16 was invited to attend the White House Science Fair as a honored guest. Esi was honored thanks to her contributions as team leader in the development of JustSmile, an application to help people who suffer from depression.  Esi, along with students Gio Rescigno, Krista Mayes, Mona Naser, Porfirio Mohabir, and Shahan Rahman created the application as part of the 2015 Verizon App Challenge. 
 
AFSE congratulates Esi and her team for their outstanding work. We are proud of their accomplishments and honored to have been included in the White House Science Fair.
